About Our Custom Platform Bed Business
I am from Finland and did wood working there. I started here in 2003
to design and produce a simple modular platform bed that is easily
taken apart and put back together. I wanted durability and the
Scandinavian look. We came up with our Cottage ("mökki") line of beds.
We make our Custom platform beds in our own work shop at our home.
My son helps in the shop also. This enables us to keep our costs
relatively low and still give quality custom work. We are happy to be
able to offer a platform bed that is custom, quality and yet not so
expensive. We offer the beds in Queen , King, Full, and Twin sizes. We
also offer an extra long twin. We also offer Bookcase beds, trundle
beds and storage drawers that work with all our normal height beds.
This is a family business and our work is custom so we sometimes are
not as quick getting the platform beds shipped but we strive to please
our customer so we do our best to be prompt in shipping but hope that
all will bear with us when we get behind. We have never failed to ship a
bed. We try not to compromise quality for speed.

Hi Junie and Petteri,
The rest of the bed was delivered this morning by a huge semi-truck! I
was so excited - I cannot tell you!!
I put this wonderful bed together in less than half an hour - single
handedly! Since I live so far from any neighbor who could help hold the
bed while I attached the headboard and foot board to the side rails, I
simply turned the bed upside down! I cannot tell you how easy it was.
Petteri's directions are so simple and easy to follow. At first I thought,
oh, dear, no diagrams.... but I didn't need any pictures to follow the
instructions. Then, joy of all joys, the pieces smoothly came together.
Everything fit absolutely perfectly! Such simple elegance.
I just love the bed - the color, the height (thanks for putting the taller
legs on for me), the grain of the wood... everything! As I was putting it
together I often admired Petteri's fine touches... his art.
