We offer several styles of platform beds and frequently add new items.
We were using a high grade of Southern long leaf Yellow Pine for
durability and affordability but have found a supplier for our poplar that is
price wise, comparable to the pine so we gradually are switching to the
poplar instead of pine for the same cost.
We now offer a nice selection of hardwoods.
Our first platform beds were our Simplicity-Cottage line. They come with
a headboard or without. Either style of platform bed can accommodate a
mattress alone, or futon mattress. Memory foam or Air Mattress systems
can be used if additional slats are used. These are readily available.
The platform bed base is 12.5 inches from the floor. This is where the
mattress sits. The clearance from the floor to the bottom edge of the
side rails is 8.5 inches this is our standard. We do, however, make
adjustments to these upon request.
We also now offer a bookcase headboard platform bed, a storage
platform bed with drawers that go underneath and a trundle bed.
Our Elevated platform bed, sometimes called Tall Platform or High
platform, is a great unit for those who want to use their own storage
container system.
We have added several more headboard designs - the Nantali, Kemi
style, and our newest Imatra style.
These Tall or high platform beds are available in king, queen, full, twin
and twin extra long.
Just add the measurement of your mattress to the platform base height
to get the overall height of the platform bed.

stick up and the slats have holes drilled so that when you put
them on the frame they interlock and once positioned they keep
the bed very solid so no joint has movement. We always use
the head to foot direction for the slats. We offer double slats
which make almost a solid surface but have less than one inch
between each to allow the mattress to breathe. Our regular
