solid Pine, (hardwood available) and accommodates an 8 or 9 inch thick
mattress.

The trundle platform bed has a solid wood lower unit that slides out for
use as an extra bed or for storage. (extra slats can be ordered for a
solid bottom. ) This enables children to use as a toy storage box and
later as an extra bed. The lower trundle accommodates a normal 8 or 9
inch thick mattress.
